Bluehost Review - After 30 days stay with bluehost.com Bluehost upgrade to 300GB space with unlimited domain names

Today i search at google and found a interesting thing between Bluehost hosting and Hostmonster hosting; “bluehost owns hostmonster“, or “bluehost vs/against host monster” ?

A quick research online through googles, shows that indead there is proof that bluehost and hostmonster is located at the same mailing address. Meaning they are under one roof. :) … a quick visit to bluehost.com and hostmonster.com, i found out, YES, their mailing address is the same at Orem, Utah.

Bluehost Inc
1215 N. Research Way, #Q3500
Orem, UT 84097

OK, i not agree that they against each other :D
Indead, my short 5 minutes research shows that blue host bought over host monster at year 2005, and now located at same roof. And hostmonster is bit cheaper, as i notice the different is that the hostmonster support not have live chat only. Hey… both are a really good host, and i think they are well managed and are quality hosts. They should felt proud indead! :)

Interesting! So are they the same host? Or are they just reselling hosting from some other “Tier 1″ host?

  2. admin Says:

bluehost & hostmonster own their own facility.
    they are the tier 1.

well, i just found out today, hostmonster is the subsidiary company. Bluehost is the big brother :D

  3. David Peyton Says:

Awesome, thanks for letting me know. So does that mean that Bluehost own the data center and “resell” to hostmonster?

(PS - just a quick recommendation… perhaps you might want to allow unregistered users to comment… then at the same time, enable comment moderation. Also, I would highly recommend that you get hold of “Subscribe to Comments“)

Isn’t it a bit mean using HostMonster (the subsidiary company) to resell BlueHost at a lower price and offering more benefits (unlimited email). I say its mean, but i probably should say smart.

PS. The HostMonster show live chat on the frontpage.

  5. admin Says:

its sound like that at first. but hostmonster hardware is different from bluehost. And Bluehost.com hosting is using more powerful servers, thus result in higher pricing hosting plan.

i guess the initial idea to buy hostmonster is to provide cheaper hosting plan, and not to affect bluehost existing plan :)
