For every domain name in your web hosting, there is a DNS record for it. For example, our bluehost review blog is a domain name hosting with bluehost, and we can view its DNS record from bluehost cpanel. You can get to edit the dns record component, A Record & CNAME record, and all of these are done in simple dns zone editor tool provided in your control panel. By default the setting is automatically made for you, for new bluehost account and for every domain name you added into your account, the dns zone had been create and there is no need to change the setting. However, if you are necessary to change the ip address for the dns A record, you can do it by using this tool. Before you proceed with changing the dns record, its important to fully understand the DNS, a record and CNAME. Mistake made here might cause A record being deleted and causing website failure.

For sure there is simple dns zone editor provided for you, and there is advanced dns editor provided as well. Definately we will look into this in future. Bluehost hosting is a great cpanel hosting company that hosting over 1 million domain names.

Domain privacy is where the domain owner information is hide from whois check, and thus your privacy is protected. Bluehost hosting offering FREE domain privacy when you sign up hosting plan with them. When registering new account, and after enter the new domain name, checked the free domain privacy button. By this the domain privacy will be activated after your sign up.

Sometime, its good to hide the information from public. However there is exception to domain privacy. Lets take a look of what wiki said: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_privacy
“However, this is not true anonymity. Personal information is collected by these registrars to provide the service. To some, registrars like Domains by Proxy take little persuasion to release so-called ‘private’ information to the world, requiring only a phone request or cease and desist letter.”

Domain privacy is the maximum protection that you can get for your domain. And this is a great tools to avoid domain snatching as well. Simply as for someone to thief your domain name, it require to hack into your email for the domain. And proceed from there. If he can’t get to the domain, you are initially protected. Thats one of the reason to have the domain privacy.

Protecting your privacy! And its a free feature from bluehost hosting

Today at BluehostReview.org, I will write my experience of using bluehost’s cpanel addon domain feature. This review cover, domain registered with godaddy, for price $7.9+, and later redirect it to bluehost. Basically, what you need to do is make changes to domain Name Server property by pointing to bluehost NS. There is no need to transfer domain to bluehost hosting.

Firstly, i login to godaddy simple control panel, and then browse to godaddy domain manager. Go to Name Server field, and change as following:

Primary name server: ns1.bluehost.com

Secondary name server: ns2.bluehost.com

Next, login to bluehost cpanel. At the section “addon domains” you will see “Current Addon Domains ”. Below this section is where the addon new domain begins. Enter the new domain name, assign new folder to this domain at public_html, and assign a new password. Finish by clicking the “Add domain”. With this, new domain will be added to your bluehost plan, and can be view at bluehost cpanel x.

Go to bluehost.com
